Kraatz and Manwu Sign Substantive Agreement for 2024-2025

Kraatz, a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group, proudly announces the successful conclusion of the latest wage negotiations with the Metal and Allied Namibian Workers Union (MANWU). The new 1-year substantive agreement, effective from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025, reflects Kraatz's commitment to its Vision 2029 goals and dedication to creating a supportive work environment for its employees.

Under the new agreement, Kraatz aims to enhance financial stability, support employee satisfaction, and strengthen the company's core values. The agreement includes a competitive salary adjustment reinforcing Kraatz's objective to achieve it’s targets by 2029 and establish itself as the preferred service provider to the oil and gas industry.

Frank Kernstock, Managing Director of Kraatz, expressed his pride in the team, stating, "The dedication and resilience demonstrated by our employees during these negotiations are truly commendable. Dudley Fourie, Group Manager: Employee Relations, alongside Roland Randall, Manager - Human Capital, and Nelsson Muhepa, Manager: Employee Relations: Coast, represented Kraatz in the negotiations. John Hinyekwa, Regional Coordinator of MANWU, and the shop steward (TBC) at Kraatz were present at the signing, underscoring the collaborative spirit that characterised the discussions.

The agreement also aligns Kraatz's the O&L Persona, emphasising being authentic, caring, and passionate. It supports Kraatz's goal of being recognised as a Great Place to Work (GPTW) Global Top 10 employer by ensuring fair and competitive compensation for its workforce.
